Haptic/Haptique {2019}
RGD q30 Award for Brand Design - Honourable Mention
IDENTITY • MOTION • BRANDING
Haptic/Haptique is three day bilingual virtual reality event that embodies the experience of warping into new realities. This conceptualized event's branding allows the users to build excitement for the event and provides new comers a sense, pun intended, of the event's experience.
Event's Visual Idenity
Haptic / Haptique
"relating to the sense of touch, in particular relating to the perception and manipulation of objects using the senses of touch and proprioception"
The digital application for this event uses a splash page countdown as well as the moving haptic graphic dots to simulate these new realities. Each device has the option to switch between the two languages (English and French) in the top left corner in each device. As this fictious event takes place in Toronto, it was most appropriate to include these two languages. This home page design is intended to create an immersive and inviting digital space while creating anticipation with the countdown to the event.
Within the first few unfolds of the printed brochure, the user will find a general schedule across three panels that represent days 1-3. The more detailed schedule can be seen once opened completely.
Event Admission
The printed tickets
Haptic's tickets are designed for three main events. These events take place every day of the festival and in order to stay organized they have each been colour coded accordingly. Within the event space, the areas in which these events take place will connect with the color on the ticket.

Event Admission
The digial tickets
The digital tickets opened up opportunities for other exciting aspects such as motion. This animation is intended to elevate the warping effect of the ticket design and create a more stimulating space.
Event Promotion
The Animated Warp
This motion graphic video promotes the event while providing the audience with an idea of what to expect when attending the event, as well as the pace of the event itself.
